It also represented many other firsts in design and technology and was the aircraft responsible for turning the tide of air combat in favor of the United States during the Korean War. Almost 10,000 total Sabres across several variants were built, and now the E-flite® UMX™ F-86 Sabre 30mm EDF makes it possible for more RC pilots to own and fly a replica of the iconic aircraft than ever before. As one of the first-ever jet-powered fighter aircraft with swept wings, it achieved an unmatched victory ratio of 10 to 1 against the MiG-15 during the Korean War. Lieutenant Jim Thompson was credited with shooting down two MiGs during that time, one of which had a dragon painted on the side. Soon after, he had a similar dragon painted on the side of his iconic F-86, known as “The Huff.” The E-flite UMX F-86 Sabre 30mm EDF is an ultra-micro-sized model of the famous aircraft that arrives factory-assembled and ready to fly right out of the box, including a premium fully painted with waterslide decal finish.
